The writers co-wrote this article to bring awareness to the nutritional field on the affects of HFCS. Their audience is other professionals in the field of nutrition and health. I know this because the magazine this article came from is a paid for subscription for this industry. One thing I did notice is they do you terminology the average person would not understand. The audience may have been persuaded by the reading of this article based on the writers credibilities and the facts they included in this article.

    Good analysis of the audience and author affiliations. (My author was freelance, so the only tie I found was where she got her degree.)
